Punta Campanella

Punta Campanella marks the very tip of the Sorrento Peninsula. It is believed that the Greek temple dedicated to the sirens once stood here, its mythical foundation attributed to Ulysses. A delightful walk is the only way to reach Punta Campanella, following a path of about one hour along the northern slope of the Promontorium Minervae, which separates the Gulf of Naples from the Gulf of Salerno. This stretch is part of the Sentiero di Athena, a circular route connecting Punta Campanella to Monte San Costanzo.

Monte San Costanzo

Monte San Costanzo is a strategic vantage point from which to admire the entire territory of Massa Lubrense, as well as both the Gulf of Naples and the Gulf of Salerno.

Monte San Costanzo is the highest hill in Massa Lubrense and can be easily reached from Termini on foot, by car, or by motorbike. The walk is also part of the Sentiero di Athena, a circular route connecting Punta Campanella to Monte San Costanzo.

Cala di Mitigliano

Cala di Mitigliano is a wide and charming bay with crystal-clear waters; the breathtaking panorama over the island of Capri and Punta Campanella makes this bay truly enchanting. The bay is framed by high, sheer cliffs, and its small beach is characterized by rocks and pebbles of various sizes. On the right side, a circular tower-shaped building, once used for lime production, recalls the days when the quarry was active.

Sentiero di Athena

The Sentiero di Athena crosses an area of particular interest for its historical significance, the wild character preserved by nature, and the magnificent views it offers, from Punta Campanella to Monte San Costanzo. The route begins at the square in Termini, heading toward Punta Campanella along the northern side of the Promontorium Minervae, which separates the Gulf of Naples from the Gulf of Salerno.

Recommone Beach

Recommone Beach lies in an inlet between Marina del Cantone and the Crapolla fjord. The beach, about 65 meters long, is made up of small, light-colored pebbles; on the right, there is a restaurant with a small concrete pier. Recommone can be reached both by sea and by land, via a short yet scenic path that starts from Cantone beach and winds around the Sant’Antonio promontory. Just before the tip, you can admire the Torre di Recommone (1567).

Sentiero delle Sirenuse

The Sentiero delle Sirenuse is a panoramic circular trail that crosses the southern side of the Sorrento Peninsula, offering enchanting views: from the Amalfi Coast to the Faraglioni of Capri. Walkable year-round, the trail presents no particular difficulties and is easily recognized by the blue symbol of the three islets that mark its path. It winds through terraced fields, valleys, and cliffs, mostly on dirt tracks: you will pass through orchards and olive groves, Mediterranean scrub, garrigue, oak woods, chestnut groves, and pine forests; it boasts a remarkable variety of shrubs and flowers, with an exceptional bloom in spring.

Fiordo di Crapolla

The Fiordo di Crapolla is among the most evocative inlets along the coast of Massa Lubrense: in addition to its great naturalistic interest, it preserves visible traces of a rich and storied past. It is reached on foot from the hamlet of Torca: from Piazza San Tommaso Apostolo, take Via Nula and then Via Casalvecchio, where the path to the fjord begins, marked in blue.
